We'll go over the full course of algebra 1 using the chapters outlined in the Openstax textbook Elementary Algebra 2e and Intermediate Algebra 2e. This series is suitable for learners who have completed the pre-algebra course. Starting on August 13th, 2024 and ending on August 31st, 2024, in each week, there will be three 90-minute sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays covering key concepts. 📝 In this 4 week period, we will host a question writing contest where you will need to submit 1 or more questions with a written solution. These can be easy questions from AMC 8 to IMO, as well as science and technology competitions like USABO and USACO. 🚷Rules: - You must write at least 1 question with a correct solution. - You must be the creator of the question(s), if you are working in the team please make sure to write all team members on the PDF. - Submissions will be in PDF so feel free to scan a written document, download a google document, and more! - Have fun!!! 🧑‍⚖️Judging Criteria: Here are some questions our judges will be looking at! - Does this question have some unique topic or ask a intresting question? - Is the solution to the problem correct? Did the writer explain the solution well? - Was the problem appropriate and fun? - Does it have elements of a competition question? (ex. Problem Solving > Computation) - If the student is lacking in one of the above areas, do other problems have interesting ideas? Each week, we will write math questions and write math research, which will be uploaded to our website. It is expected to have at least algebra 2 knowledge. This is a place for having fun rather than seriously writing math-related things, so you are welcome to have fun here and enjoy math!

We will go over various practice questions (at least five per session) and then learn concepts from these questions. The first session will be a diagnostic test to see where learners are at; the final session will be a final exam to measure improvement.

Welcome to the Talent Show! There are a series of stages where you can display your amazing talents, whether it's solving a Rubik's cube in record time or singing your heart out or guessing the day of the week on any date! There are some rules I want you to read before I go over how each stage goes. You must be comfortable coming on mic AND on camera. You CANNOT just drop out without warning. If you are going to be late (we should always wait 5 minutes just in case) please tell us so that we aren't wasting time. And the most important rule: Be a good sport and just have fun! Phew! With all of those rules out of the way, we can finally see how the heck this thing works. The first session will be kind of going a little more in depth on what I'm writing in this description AND wee will get into some planning for y'all's acts! Basically you decide what you want to do. I'll host this session twice for timezone differences along with the rest of the sessions. The next session will be the first round of acts! The judges and audience will vote on each act. Since I'm technically winging this next part, we will just decide on what to do in this session in the last session. And yes, I'll update the description when I have a more solid plan. In this series we will cover the important preliminaries for AP-Precalculus and most importantly go over the whole syllabus of AP-Precalculus with some additional out-of-the-syllabus topics.There will be assigned P.sets and home-work; the sessions will take once or twice a week ( sometimes more than that) we will notify the erolled learners accordingly.

Once a month, we will get together to talk about a book that we all read. This series isn't necessarily going to be talking about the satire or the antagonist's motivations. We are just here to have fun, talk about our favorite parts, maybe some parts you didn't like, anything you want! At the end of each session, we will vote on the book we all want to read for the next month's session.

New learners are always welcome!! In this series, there are two sessions every single day for a whole year! We have one in the morning and one in the evening, you can pick which of those you want to attend based on your schedule. How it works: We go over the pronunciation, definition, synonyms and antonyms, origin, (and maybe some fun facts) and how to use the word in a sentence. There is always a super fun Kahoot about the word. Then we have idiom of the day where we introduce a new idiom, it's meaning, and how it's used in a sentence. Then, at the very end, we have two quotes of the day! They may be inspirational, or funny, or both! I hope to see you there! These sessions are perfect for expanding your vocabulary.
