Tutoring competitions is hard because of the key differences when comparing it to the modern curriculum. It is vital to adapt your teaching styles in order to provide the most beneficial learner impact. 🎓

The #academic-competitions pilot is focused on creating a dedicated subworld for academic competitions. With contributions from over 5,000 learners and 300 tutors, this initiative includes events such as MATHCOUNTS, AMC, Olympiads, Debate, Quizbowl, and more. Learners interested in participating can express their interest by filling out this form, while tutors can contribute their expertise by joining the #academic-competitions Slack channel and completing this form. Tutor Qualifications

I am a lead at #academic-competitions! I have hosted several competition related sessions/series. For my subject breakdown:

Science - I am on my Science Team and am the lead. I have been skipping science courses (taking an accelerated route) since 5th Grade.

Technology - I am well aquatinted in a couple languages (C++, Python, HTML, and more!) and am prepping for Bronze USACO.

Mathematics - Hosting a full series and have hosted quite a couple of sessions.

Speech and Debate - I am nationally ranked in Speech and Debate.

General Academics - I am the lead of my Quizbowl team.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

This series only requires you to attend 2-3 sessions to feel prepared to host your first session, and around 4 to get ready for your first series! We will have many sessions, refer to the session description to decide what you want to learn!

Hello everyone! My name is Aarav T. I discovered SchoolHouse while exploring the wonderful world of online learning and have gotten obsessed. I am currently working on several passion projects including co-founding an academic-competition subworld and have already aided in the establishment of a slack channel.
