Welcome to Art Café- where we come together to sketch, doodle, and explore ideas. if you're into experimentation and anything art this is your space. ✨ By the end of each session, you’ll leave feeling more confident in your art, more connected to a creative community, and maybe even with a piece you’re proud of. Whether you learn a new technique, break out of art block, or simply enjoy the creative headspace, it’s always time well spent. Feel free to collaborate on artworks and discuss techniques! Everyone’s welcome, no matter your skill level or drawing tools! We'll be having sessions every Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday consistently (in the IST timezone but of course, check the sessions to know your dates and times). Please try to be interactive (unmute and turn on your videos if possible) so we can all grow together and spark new ideas through each other’s work.

English as a Second Language (Intermediate Level)

If you have a basic grasp of English but still wish to communicate more fluently, this course is for you! We'll cover a variety of topics like grammar, sentence structure, capitalization and punctuation to communicate more effectively, basic vocab, common phrases, listening and speaking activities, reading comprehension, and more English help to aid you on your journey of becoming a fluent English speaker. We'll have fun, interactive activities every class, and (optional) work will be assigned every week to really cement your English skills. I can also help with English-related homework and assignments and edit essays and such for school! ADVERTISEMENT: If you want to learn specifically about English grammar and vocabulary, check out this series (also tutored by me!). We'll meet at 10-11 AM (EST) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and loosely follow Khan Academy's curriculum for grammar. Only 5 people can join this series, so there's more individual focus and specialized lessons. It’s about exploring what’s possible. Speak freely and think deeply. Let’s weave a new kind of conversation! Join a virtual Dialogue Club to form a community with students from around the world. Dialogue Clubs meet every other week to discuss a new topic. How To Draw People (From Scratch)

Every session or so, we'll cover a new topic that will help you get a good understanding of the fundamentals behind drawing people (or characters) in semi realistic and other styles (such as webcomics). What we will work on: - Gesture and Figure drawing (dynamic poses) - Heads (planes of the face, features and expressions) - Simplified Colouring and Shading (digitally) - Stylization (comics/manga styles) For getting started, all you need is a pencil and some paper. Watercolours and digital drawing software such as IbisPaint/Krita will be needed later in the course for sessions covering digital art.
