About

If you have a basic grasp of English and want to take the next step towards fluency, this course is for you! We'll cover a variety of topics like grammar, sentence structure, capitalization and punctuation to communicate more effectively, basic vocab, common phrases, listening and speaking activities, reading comprehension, and more English help to aid you on your journey of becoming a fluent English speaker. We'll have fun, interactive activities every class, and (optional) work will be assigned every week to really cement your English skills. I can also help with English-related homework and assignments and edit essays and such for school!

Shameless Advertisement: If you want to learn specifically about English grammar and vocabulary, check out this series (also tutored by me!). We'll meet at 10-11 AM (EST) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and loosely follow Khan Academy's curriculum for grammar. Fewer people can join this series, so there's more individual focus and specialized lessons. Also, unlike this class, you can attend classes only when you feel like it.https://schoolhouse.world/series/52211

(!!) semi-hiatus Hello! 👋 I'm Olivia, but you can call me Liv. I am a South Korean teen who is currently attending high school in Ontario, Canada. Currently, I am on Schoolhouse to talk about real-world issues with peers through the Dialogues program, prep for my first SAT, and receive help for some school subjects I'm struggling with. I also tutor in English, pre-algebra, and various topics in Enrichment, but usually only during extended academic breaks (like in the summer!) Here is some uninteresting info about me: ✏️📚 I like reading and writing (both hobby-wise and academically). In 2025, I read over 100 novels and 300 manga/graphic novels. I've won local and school-affiliated awards for academic excellence in writing. I'm also a mod for a book-related subreddit with over 1.3 million members and make book content on social media, where I have gained a total following of nearly 10k across my platforms over the span of 6 years. Furthermore, I am the founder and president of my school's book club with nearly 30 members, where we host book-related events like book fairs, talk about books, and bring in published authors to interview. I do some volunteering at my local libraries as well. 🧠 I'm really interested in neuroscience and psychology. I have an accredited certificate for my local university's college-level introductory course in neurology and am a graduate of the Women's Alliance in STEM and Humanities (WASH SRI)'s 2025 summer program for computational neuroscience. Currently, I am self-studying for AP Psychology as well as prepping for the 2026 International Psychology Olympiad. Additionally, I am a member of my school board's mental health council and my school's Neuroscience club. 🏫 At school, my GPA is around 3.8 (self-calculated & unweighted), and I'm a member of the student council as head of digital media and publicity team co-lead. 🤩 Besides reading and writing, some of my hobbies include art (both digital & trad), watching anime (I'm obsessed with a new character every week... you can usually tell who by my profile picture hehe), and listening to music! 💕Here are some of the fandoms I'm in! music: alien stage (esp akugetsu hehe), J-pop (eve, natori, tatsuya kitani, ado, band-maid, yoasobi, fuji kaze, L, etc etc), hazbin hotel, will stetson, marino, occasional C- or K- pop movies: anime movies (your name, look back, jjk 0 to name a few) dramas: all of us are de@d, sweet home, the untamed, alice in borderland manhua/webtoons: lookism, orv, sweet home, su!cide boy, hooky, morganza & oz, teenage mercenary, hiding out in the apocalypse, heartstopper, the end has come, viral hit, questism, 44th period: survival class, hazeshift, the last passage, here u are, my comeback as the youngest member, our walk home, shirai, & more anime/manga: demon slayer, jjk, all of junji ito's stories, aot, code geass, seraph of the end, noragami, takopi's original sin, one piece, naruto, alice in borderland, monster, death note, bungo stray dogs, haikyuu, blue lock, horimiya, daganronpa, hell's paradise, among others heh books: heaven official's blessing (tgcf), grandmaster of demonic cultivation (mdzs), orv, six of crows & the grishverse books, shadowhunter books, legend, pjo & the riordanverse books, kotlc, song of achilles, radio silence, dark rise other: alien stage, the fence graphic novels, love & deepspace, genshin impact, pjsk (hatsune miku colorful stage), daganronpa

Hey I'm Aeparish! I'm from India and I'm 14- in 9th grade with the power of home/online schooling. I’m here to expand on my interests and try learning new topics! ‎ Updated: 06/09/2025 (👉゚ヮ゚)👉 Check out the sessions I'm hosting! ‎ I’m extremely interested in astronomy- be it with physics or biology. Some topics I love and am getting into are exoplanets, black holes, quantum physics and more. I can’t say I’m super well versed with them but I’m always up for a nice discussion on it or simply researching! I’ve been into it since I was a little 6-year-old, drifting from indecisiveness but ending back here. I've even participated in the NASA Hackathon 4 (+more to come) years in a row so I have experience including multiple courses and events. For my future, I know I’ll be doing something involved with these. I also have taken an interest in finance and history—from bitcoin and investments to unknown chapters in our past. ‎ I love drawing both digitally (on procreate) and on paper, including animation whenever I feel like it. Using blender to 3D model is something I’ve been loving recently, even building Legos from time to time (mostly original builds which I cherish). I'm writing a research paper related to rigging and UV maps, nearing completion so I can then publish. ‎ Outside, you'll probably see me taking photos of different bugs or collecting sticks and rocks. I also collect shedding and exoskeletons of bugs or snakes so... Be prepared for extensive talking on this in some of my sessions! I guess I’m the ‘explorer’ type. ‎ Lastly, I code in a bunch of languages (Scratch, Gdevelop, C++, Python, HTML & CSS) and use game development for projects involving hackathons or competitions for example getting into semi-finalists globally @ Technovation 2025. I also speak a bunch including English, Hindi (not writing or reading), and French. ‎ Feel free to message me for any doubts on these topics/subjects. Even programs I've mentioned! I'm happy to help guide you. ‎ Being a dialogue club president here at schoolhouse means I've also attended over 35! I actively host one-off’s so if you’d like to see more, feel free to follow me. Discussing topics about the future, history, and philosophy is interesting and I highly recommend you try it.
