About

Hey I'm Aeparish! I'm from India and I'm in 9th grade (homeschooled).

I absolutely love drawing both digitally (on procreate & krita) and on paper! (+ 3d modelling in blender) I'm an aspiring animator and have started on that similarly with game dev! I find them really interesting.

Outside, you'll probably see me taking photos of different bugs or collecting sticks and rocks. I code in a bunch of languages (more about it down below) and like astronomy & legos!

-I love sci-fi and good thriller movies + reading books. I watch anime and read manga! Some of my favorite shows are interstellar, alien stage, source code, wall-e, etc.

-I listen to tons of music, and love seeing people's art. Some of my favorite music artists are Mitski, C!nah, UNIS, Enhypen and more.

-I play the violin, sing and can code (since 4th grade) in Scratch, Gdevelop, C++, Python, HTML & CSS.

-I post my art online!

-Along with all of this I'm learning French (level B1) and Chinese (HSK1). On the side I'm trying to learn others like korean. I find them fun.

Accomplishments-

-Done a datascience & bioengineering course (by UC Irvine).

-Attended an astronomy course by a qualified instructor in the field (Dr. George Roush).

-Participated in the NASA Hackathon 3 (+more to come) years in a row. I've got experience. :D

-Been in a workshop empowering girls in astronomy by the Dr. Aomawa Shields.

-Midway at a Harvard course on computer science (CS50).

-Starting (soon) a Modern arts course by The Museum of Modern Arts (Coursera).

-Currently in a research paper workshop for undergraduates and highschool students- 4 months long aiming to publish paper(s) (UC Irvine again, Professor. Faisal Nawab).

-Dialogue club president here at schoolhouse! I've also attended over 25!

..There's so much more to come!

Feel free to message for any doubts on these topics/subjects!

How To Draw People (From Scratch)

    9th session

Every session or so, we'll cover a new topic that will help you get a good understanding of the fundamentals behind drawing people (or characters) in semi realistic and other styles (such as webcomics). What we will work on: - Gesture and Figure drawing (dynamic poses) - Heads (planes of the face, features and expressions) - Simplified Colouring and Shading (digitally) - Stylization (comics/manga styles) For getting started, all you need is a pencil and some paper. Watercolours and digital drawing software such as IbisPaint/Krita will be needed later in the course for sessions covering digital art.

Dialogue Club: Global Threads!

    Saturdays 5:00 PM

What happens when young minds across the globe sit down to question the world, together? In this club, we pull at the strands of big ideas - free will, war, capitalism, governance - and see where they lead in today's world. It’s not about debating who’s right. It’s about exploring what’s possible. Speak freely and think deeply. Let’s weave a new kind of conversation! Join a virtual Dialogue Club to form a community with students from around the world. Dialogue Clubs meet every other week to discuss a new topic. By participating in 3+ Dialogue sessions, you will get a Dialogues portfolio you can submit with your college applications to our university partners.

Thank you for creating this Dialogue Club, I think it was very fun and important to discuss these topics with other people, especially with people who may not be from the same place or background as you so we can hear other people's perspectives.
