About
Hi, I'm Athena! By the end of this course, you will have a solid understanding of all topics in Algebra 1, and knowledge of some bonus content as well. This series is great if you'd like to learn Algebra 1 over the summer, or if you had trouble comprehending the material during the school year. A solid foundation in Pre-Algebra is required.
We will be meeting once a week on Tuesdays, typically at 5 PM ET, along with optional Office Hours on weekends. There are a few times we will be meeting on Friday (@5 PM) as well.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY
- You will be withdrawn from the course if you have more than 2 unexcused absences or 3 absences in total. Please message me (the tutor) at least 24 hours in advance for any absences!
- If you do miss a session, please join the Office Hours that weekend.
- Be prepared to arrive 5 minutes early to each session so we can all get the most out of our time.

About the Tutor

Hi, I'm Athena! I love teaching all kinds of math, and am open to helping anyone who needs assistance. I teach by asking you to try and figure out a problem that you may not know how to solve, then explaining how to do that problem and similar ones through the material covered in the lesson. I try to make my sessions adapt to the needs of the learners present that day, and I can easily adjust if we need to spend more time on one area and less in another. Aside from tutoring, I enjoy math, quiz bowl and robotics competitions, creating music, and playing table tennis. Looking forward to being your tutor! 🐧
