About

Hi, I'm Athena! By the end of this course, you will have a solid understanding of all topics in Algebra 1, and knowledge of some bonus content as well. This series is great if you'd like to learn Algebra 1 over the summer, or if you had trouble comprehending the material during the school year. A solid foundation in Pre-Algebra is required. We will be meeting once a week on Tuesdays, typically at 5 PM ET, along with optional Office Hours on weekends. There are a few times we will be meeting on Friday (@5 PM) as well. 𝒫𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑒 𝓃𝑜𝓉𝑒: If you joined this series late, 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲-𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. About the Tutor

Hi, I'm Athena! I love teaching all kinds of math, and am open to helping anyone who needs assistance. I teach by asking you to try and figure out a problem that you may not know how to solve, then explaining how to do that problem and similar ones through the material covered in the lesson. I try to make my sessions adapt to the needs of the learners present that day, and I can easily adjust if we need to spend more time on one area and less in another. Aside from tutoring, I enjoy math, quiz bowl and robotics competitions, creating music, and playing table tennis. Looking forward to being your tutor! 🐧
