Schoolhouse Eras Tour 🌎

Hey, everybody! The Schoolhouse Community Engagement Team is really excited to welcome you to the Schoolhouse Eras Tour!
The Schoolhouse Eras Tour is an exciting community event that’ll be hosted in celebration of Schoolhouse’s fourth birthday, beginning on March 21st, 2024, with the Schoolhouse Points Award Ceremony, where we will recognize the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond learners and tutors for their hard work earning Schoolhouse Points over the past year!
Over the course of the next four sessions, you will have the chance to time travel through Schoolhouse’s history and different eras, from the original Long Beach Pilot to today’s Subworlds Era. You will also learn about our programs and partnerships and also gain an inside look into our official volunteer teams!
The Schoolhouse Eras Tour will conclude with a Schoolhouse Community vs Product Team Trivia Game on March 25. Come ready for an exciting chance to meet the visionaries who lead our community and challenge them to a friendly (but fierce) competition!
That makes six sessions of fun, excitement, and Schoolhouse history! We hope to see you there, ready to learn about the inner workings of our community!

Hello Bakers! Welcome! 
Do you like baking?
Have you ever wanted to share a recipe you invented?
Do you want more people to try out your recipes? 
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, here's your chance. 
This is a Baking Contest right here at Schoolhouse, where you will get three days to come up with an original recipe (But you can get inspiration online!) bake it, give it a name, and take a picture and a video (of you explaining your desserts, and a sneak-peek of you baking it) of your dessert that you will then submit for the competition. There are no requirements to participate, just a love for baking. Six judges will look at all the submissions and decide which one is the best recipe! The rubric that judges will be using for the competition will be shared shortly after the orientation session, where more information will be given. 
🤩The winners will receive King Arthur Baking Company gift cards, more info on that in the orientation session.

Study Spaces!

This will be a series of study spaces, where you can complete homework, study for tests, or do anything academically productive! 
The purpose of these study spaces is to hold ourselves accountable to the completion of work/studying and to provide the support of a group environment where everyone is comfortable and productive!
Each session will run for an hour and a half, but feel free to come and go as you please! I will open the session five minutes before the starting time. 
Cameras are completely optional, but I ask that you remain muted during the study periods so as to remain considerate of others! There will be a five-minute break every 30 minutes during which you can unmute and have discussions. 
Note: If you'd like to request a session at a specific time/a change of time, just let me know and I'll see if I can make it!

If you’re taking the 3/9 DSAT, this session is a great place to review topics (both R&W and Math) that you’ve had issues with in the past and to ask any and all questions you may have about content, test-taking strategies, and what to expect on test day!
﻿
If you have specific topics that you’d like us to review during the session, please let us know in the welcome question. Learner-requested content review will take up roughly the first 30-45 minutes of the session. During the session, learners are encouraged to ask questions via a Google form that will be shared live. Live questions can be about anything, but we can’t promise that we’ll be able to cover content-based questions in-depth if they are not submitted ahead of time.

- Co-hosts are welcome to apply, as the presence of multiple hosts will make it easier to answer questions and provide different perspectives. Co-host requests will be taken until Friday, March 1.

- Sign-ups after Saturday, March 2, aren't as likely to have their "weakest area/concept" topic prioritized in the session.
