Awesome session; I love how patient you were at the beginning as you waited for the other learners to join. Plus, the introductions you’ve had us do was a great ice-breaker idea, and I’m glad you used it because I felt much more at ease and relaxed after getting to know the other learners as well as you! Honestly, you addressed our questions so well; I literally had nothing to add because of how elaborative your explanations and responses are! I appreciate it. I felt that you did a great job encouraging active learning in this session! You consistently checked the learner's prior knowledge, which was important here because she didn't need you to explain many underlying concepts. It would have wasted both of your times explaining things she already had a good grasp of. The learner was constantly engaged and was able to solve problems on her own throughout the session.

Cortni first checked how far the learner got on their own before chipping in to help. I feel that the learner's progress part may be the weakest from the session, NOT because of any tutoring skill issues, but because this is a live help session so monitoring a learner's progress is virtually impossible in such a short amount of time. Cortni did an excellent job with making the learner's questions all answered during and after her explanations, keeping them engaged in the material the entire time.

This session was amazing! I previously had started learning some of the basics of French, but I could never figure out how to pronounce half of what I was learning. This was so helpful to me for figuring out pronunciation! I have a history of trying languages and not sticking with them due to not being engaged with my method of learning, but I can tell already that I'll be sticking with French due to the engaging nature of this series (which will help build my foundation)!! I can't wait for the next session <3

Cortni, thank you SO much! You are an absolutely amazing human being and I am so thankful for what you did for me today. You don't know how much it means to me. I literally already feel so energized and motivated. It inspired me how you came today all prepared with the "paperwork" and how you knew what you wanted to say to me and what you wanted me to "learn". It was also nice to see how I wasn't the only one going through it because it makes me feel like I'm not alone, and that we can both get better at this TOGETHER. I also appreciate how easily you navigated through all that and helped me construct a well-organized schedule. Cortni, I am forever thankful to you. You are by far one of the best and most patient tutors I know who have a very effective tutoring method. 5 people prior to you tried to help me on that topic, but only you were the one who was actually able to make me understand everything that was going on. I also appreciated how you took the time and liberty to explain underlying concepts as well as different ways to approach each problem. You were also very good at calming me down when I was getting frantic by not quickly grasping the concepts, and were just very calm and collected about it all which was something I truly valued. Again, since this was a live help session, the only progress we could actually measure was that the learner now understood how to solve problems of that caliber.
