Introduction to Speech and Debate
When you argue with someone, how do you win? What do you rely on? Your voice, full of passion? Or a cool head using facts and logic? Either way, Speech and Debate can strengthen those abilities and enrich your life. Not just in arguing. Presentations, seminars, and even tutoring on Schoolhouse - they all rely on PUBLIC SPEAKING.
In this course, we'll cover the basics of some Speech and Debate events I've participated in - Public Forum, Original Oratory, Extemporaneous, Impromptu, Dramatic Interpretation - and getting exposed to different speaking styles, different forms of competing, and how to form arguments.
This is a restart of the same series of the same name but in a different time zone!
NOTE: You must be able to actively participate in the session, whether it be in the chat or preferably out loud!
