The topic we will be simulating debate is: The United States should establish a comprehensive bilateral trade agreement with Taiwan. (This is the same topic that will be debated at the National Speech and Debate Tournament hosted by the NSDA in June!)

Either way, Speech and Debate can strengthen those abilities and enrich your life. Not just in arguing. Presentations, seminars, and even tutoring on Schoolhouse - they all rely on PUBLIC SPEAKING. In this course, we'll cover the basics of some Speech and Debate events I've participated in - Public Forum, Original Oratory, Extemporaneous, Impromptu, Dramatic Interpretation - and getting exposed to different speaking styles, different forms of competing, and how to form arguments.
