Come and ask any remaining physics questions you might have after the holiday break! We'll also do a quick review of a few topics based on interest.

We'll work through the AP Physics C Mechanics curriculum together, hopefully finishing by the end of April (in time for the exam).

We often learn to solve problems involving dynamics using F=ma (Newton's laws) but there's a different way to approach things with energy! It turns out to work even with really complicated problems. We'll go through the use of this method, look at its origins, and also some special aspects that allow for generalization. A knowledge of calculus (derivatives and integrals) would be helpful.

We'll go through the curriculum for both courses together! We'll make use of Khan Academy and past AP Exams for practice.

We'll give additional practice and time to ask any questions you might have about AP Physics classes you're taking! Format (flexible): 15 Min Questions 45 Min Topic Practice Times are to be determined based on learner interest and availability, but we'll always give at least 3 days notice before a new session.

We'll go through a calculus-based introduction to E&M. Planned topics: -Properties of Electric Charge -Coulomb's Law -Electric Fields -Gauss's Law -Potential Energy of an Electric Field -Applications Plus lots of practice problems throughout!

While the AP Curriculum gives an introduction to many concepts important in the study of physics, certain aspects of selected topics are sometimes presented briefly, or not covered in a traditional class. These sessions will aim to provide additional insight into various topics starting in mechanics, with more sessions added later. Emphasis will be placed on problem solving, which could assist in future physics courses at the college level, or in planned high school classes in this subject for the next school year. Necessary math will be presented as needed, so please don't let a perceived level of difficulty prevent your participation!

We'll review for the New York State Regents Exam in Physics by going through practice tests together. This also can serve as a general review of physics principles.

AP Test Preparation

Review of the AP Physics 1 Curriculum
