About
What happens when a circle has infinite radius? What shape does that make?
When lines turn into circles and circles turn into lines—the world of inversive geometry is fascinating and incredibly powerful. This lecture will briefly introduce the world of inversion, laying down some basic rules and properties to propel you further in your studies. Though the content is quite challenging and conceptually novel, you only need to be familiar with basic geometry (e.g. properties of cyclic quadrilaterals). This lecture is based on Evan Chen's Euclidean Geometry in Mathematical Olympiads.
Tutor Qualifications
I've participated in competition math since middle school, and I've made it up to USAMO. As for this topic specifically, I've studied it individually and have given this lecture before.
