About

Hi, my name is Mina and I will be covering the core areas of the SAT Math Sections (3 and 4). I, myself, scored 760 in math and hope to assist you in reaching your dream score. In this super comprehensive boot camp we will cover how to ... 1. Plug-In 2. Solve Linear Equations 3. Solve Non-Linear Equations 4. Solve Systems of Equations 5. Analyze Functions (linear, quadratic, cubic, polynomial, rational, trigonometric) 6. Interpret Word Problems 7. Approach Coordinate Geometry Problems 8. Set-Up and Solve Mixtures & Weighted Averages 9. Analyze & Interpret Charts & Data (bar charts, box & whisker plots, line of best fit, standard deviation, mean/median/mode, etc.) 10. Translate Math Words into Everyday English As a neurodivergent individual, I hope to encourage people from all walks of life to pursue their academic dreams via learning the ins and outs of SAT Math. If you're someone who uses accommodations in school, believe you would benefit from accommodations, have specific learning needs, or perform better with differentiated/individual instruction, don't hesitate to reach out, so I can arrange for a way to meet your needs :) More details here: https://bit.ly/SAT-math-bootcampSp23-syllabus

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Math. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please do not miss more than one session over the four weeks, as that will negatively affect your learning and may also take up a spot from another learner who could have attended every session.

Message your tutor if you have an extenuating circumstance and must miss a session. If you have two unexcused absences, your tutor may remove you from the bootcamp series.

About the Tutor

I am a dual enrollment high school student in the US who loves to teach and help others build confidence through learning. That is of course when I'm not dancing, figure skating, teaching, or practicing yoga! I have been tutoring K-8 students in all core academic classes for 3 years in both group and 1-on-1 settings. I have also expanded to tutoring high school and AP level courses for about 2 years now. Tutoring allows me to inspire learners to grow in their academic environment, and as a whole person, which is by far, an unmatched feeling. I teach by exploring concepts in an interactive and light atmosphere. I will then work with students to practice in-context and real-world problems both during sessions and asynchronously. From there, I will measure each student's progress individually, using various checkpoints to determine the best route. Schedule a session for a fun time learning, connecting, having fun, and talking about your interests! :)
