About

The cross sections of a cone form several interesting curved shapes--circles, ellipses, parabolas, and hyperbolas. Use the distance formula to relate the geometric features of the figures to their algebraic equations.

Twice a week, we'll go over one topic. Topics include:
-The Standard Equation of a Circle
-The Focus and Directrix of a Parabola

Each session will include topic questions or an activity for you to practise what was covered in the session, and be encouraged to come off mute or type in the chat for general participation, such as asking or answering questions.
