About

Hey everyone! My name is Mia and I am so excited to help you prep for the R&W portion of the December SAT! I have a variety of experience in English, including an advanced english class, a dual credit college english class, and a 760 on the English SAT section. Im hoping to use that experience in these upcoming session to help you tackle this test. One thing to remember: don't think of the SAT as some scary, impenetrable beast! With some guidance and good techniques, you can conquer it, section by section, and improve your score. You just have to put in the effort! Ill guide you, and you'll do the beast slaying! Lets go!

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in both Reading and Writing & Language. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please do not miss more than one session over the four weeks, as that will negatively affect your learning and may also take up a spot from another learner who could have attended every session.

If you reach two unexcused absences, your tutor may remove you from this series.

Note from Schoolhouse: This series has sessions with required attendance. If you need to miss a required session, submit an absence using the "Submit Excused Absence" button on the series page. Multiple unexcused absences may lead to a suspension of your Schoolhouse account.

About the Tutor

Hey everyone! My name is Mia, and I am a junior in high school. I've been homeschooled almost my entire life (except for that one 7 month private school season *shiver*). I love reading and learning languages! I am taking College Composition this year, and I am hoping that I can use my knowledge of the English language to help other students score well on the SAT. I also have some valuable test taking tips that helped me manage time on this test, so I hope to share those with you all as well!
