About

Do you want to be the person who is confident, powerful, and a role-model, onstage? A very important skill in life is being able to speak in public. Whether this be for a class presentation or a job interview, practicing thinking on your feet is the BEST way to improve. In this series we will explore different techniques of improving that skill as well as explore the Competitive Speech event, Impromptu Speeches. NOTE: Be ready to open your microphones to make speeches! TIME IS STILL TBD

Tutor Qualifications

I have competed in Speech events since G6, winning Gold and Silver in storytelling and oratory, as well as National Semifinalist in the Pro Con Challenge and ranked 10th for Impromptu at a tournament.

About the Tutor

Hey! I'm Stella and I'm a senior (G12). I have been an avid speaker and debater since middle school and I think that Speech and Debate empowers people, so I want to come on here to give people the opportunity to develop their own voice! I also love history and love talking about all the stories and all the connections we have to one other throughout the vast span of time. Together, I hope to bring some fun new content onto schoolhouse so that everyone can enjoy history and speaking with me!
