EVERYONE is welcome! :)

This is a Bootcamp for anyone who's currently in Calculus AB, or interested in Calculus. This is a safe place where you can make mistakes and ask questions; the road to Calculus is full of curves (geddit. haha. curves. haha. I'm so funny), and I'm here to help you!

Cannot reiterate this enough: I LOVE questions. If you have any, never hesitate to ask me! If you make mistakes? Puh-lease. I've probably made the same one three times more than you did.

We're going to have two-hour classes, covering every Unit, every week! Please make sure to do some review outside of class, as well; I'll give you guys resources and practice problems to do as homework! In the middle of the week, I'll have Office Hours for you guys to ask any questions!

Content Warnings: I will crack bad jokes. I am not liable to pay for your sanity in the off-chance that you lose it because of my bad sense of humor. You have been warned.

Hello Calculus students! This course is formulated for those who struggle with Units 1-5 of the AP Calculus AB/BC curriculum! For students of all skill levels, especially those who have had little exposure to calculus, I try to target the most universally "confusing" differentiation techniques that we see on the AP Exam!

Hello there! This is a short winter crash course on differentiation with an AP Calculus BC 5 scorer. Over the course of 11 sessions (1 session every other day) we will master the differentiation units 2-5 in preparation for the AP Calculus AB/BC exam. The aim of this short series is to help you gain confidence and master this INTEGRAL part of Calculus. In doing so you will be able to breeze most the AP Calculus exams with solid basics.

All sessions will involve active participation so be prepared to come on mic and camera, and most of all solve problems together!

The People's Guide to Calculus

6th session

What comes to mind when you hear the word "calculus"?

For many people, calculus is often associated with difficulty and despair. Perhaps fairly so; indeed, calculus is notorious for being a class that is hard to understand and easy to fall behind in.

But it doesn't need to be.

My name is George Hartman, and I’ve scored a 5 on both the AP Calculus AB and BC exams. In this course, I aim to challenge the notion that calculus is only for the geniuses among us. By connecting complex concepts to simple ideas and supplementing each new topic with an engaging video or activity, I plan to not only teach you as much as I can about all things calculus, but also to provide you with a fun and interesting experience while doing so. And after each session, it's my hope that you'll walk away feeling just a little bit smarter and more capable.

This 9-week course will focus on the core components of the AP Calculus AB curriculum. Each of the first 8 weeks will be devoted to a unit of Calculus AB, and we will advance through the units sequentially. In week 9, we will learn about a few foundational Calculus BC concepts.

This course is intended to be fun and approachable for all skill levels, from struggling student to top-of-the-class

I can't wait to help make calculus into an engaging and accessible subject for you!
