Intro to AP Calculus AB/BC

    Ended Thu, Jul 18, 2024

The first session will give a general overview of the course as well as run over math concepts that create the foundation for calculus. Each week we will do a high-level overview that teaches the basics of a few topics. We will do problems together in each session and you will be provided with independent work which will be reviewed in the next session. Keep in mind that this course will be (somewhat) fast paced since each session is only 45 minutes! Feel free to message me with any questions or post your questions in the help channels. Some harder calculus concepts will not be completely covered in this series. I will create a new series during the school year that matches the pace of Calculus BC classes where you can ask questions and get clarification on those hard topics. If you would like more in depth work, harder problems will be provided and you can message me if you have any questions!

Khan Academy Get ready for composite and inverse functions

    Ended Sun, Jul 17, 2022

Hii!! In this series, we're going to go over how functions are not only like magic teleporters, but also a lot like slime. We're going to work on stretching, scaling, and flipping functions. Then we're going to figure out how the magic teleporters can work in reverse too! At the end of this series, we will do the unit test. This series is a good fit for you if you're looking to build on what you previously learned on functions or looking to take a Precalculus course in the near future and want to get a headstart on this unit(https://www.khanacademy.org/math/precalculus/x9e81a4f98389efdf:composite/). Here's the Khan Academy unit link if you're curious! (https://www.khanacademy.org/math/get-ready-for-precalculus/x65c069afc012e9d0:get-ready-for-composite-and-inverse-functions) Lastly, note: I'll be adding more sessions as we go on, and for more catch-up sessions: just ask!
