Great job beginning the session by asking how aware the student was of variables and expressions to assess their prior knowledge in a non-judgemental way. Double checking how the learner came to their answer when doing individual practice after they reveal what they came to could also be helpful in having them explain the concepts or steps using their own words. I like your offering of tips for the SAT beyond just the mathematic material. I feel like asking questions to gauge the learner's current knowledge beyond asking how aware they are of lines could help get a more specific and helpful answer from him/her. Overall, great job adapting to the learner's current skill set and gauging their level through the use of practice problems!
