One of Piyush’s biggest strengths in this session was how interactive he made it. Rather than simly lecturing, he paused often to check for understanding, invited learners to unmute, and guided them through code snippets and examples. The mini quiz near the midle, where he called on Aanvi, Ayona, and Haoyu in turn, kept everyone engaged and actively processing the material. He didn’t rush anyone and gave supportive, corrective feedback where needed (“That’s a good guess” or “Yeah, you’re completely right!”), which made the learning feel collaborative instead of evaluative.

The visuals provided were good as there was a doc of the coding items. This was helpful as the students could follow along as the teacher was talking about it. At the beginning of the session, you asked the learners about their prior knowledge of derivatives, checking their understanding of the topic. When a learner got the answer wrong, you understood where they got that answer and then helped direct them to solve it again which was great!
