Pomodoro Study Sessions

    65th session
💙🫶⭐Hey guys! Come study with me in this helpful series! I love attending Pomodoro sessions since they help me a whole lot when I want to study for a specific amount of time due to my struggles with procrastination. So, I thought, 'Why not start my own series because I know for sure I am not the only one who goes through this 😅!' I will mostly (not sure yet) host sessions after 4PM EST because that is when I start studying individually. 💙🫶⭐

  • I sometimes hold sessions on weekends after 1PM EST upon request.

I'll make the series as long as possible!
I enjoy hosting longer sessions because I tend to get deeply involved in my work. 👀 ...

My goal for this series is to help others and myself work productively and to reduce procrastination with the Pomodoro timer 💙!

This series is meant to help with motivation and procrastination, NOT homework. 📄🫂📄

This is NOT meant to be a homework help tutoring session where we help each other with work. This is simply meant to be a helpful and motivating studying environment/group where everyone focuses on their own individual work. We try to be interactive but not too interactive because we don't want to be disruptive in your individual work. If you have a question though or want some suggestions with your work we can try to help. :)

We are not always qualified to help you with your homework as we don't have certifications in every subject. 🪙📖🪙

If you want individual help with work, I recommend going to the Subworld based on the subject you are working on and seeing if they have an open homework help session as they would be most qualified to help you. 📝🕵️📝

Note: This is not meant to be an interactive open tutoring for help on completing assignments (though we will try to help if you need it), therefore it is not going to seem that interactive. The whole point is to work in a motivating environment with other learners to help complete assignments. It will not seem to be that interactive as we don't want to ask a bunch of questions which can potentially bother our learners. Although you will be working and doing other things mostly on your own, this is meant to be a helpful and motivating environment for doing such. This is somewhat similar to setting up a timer at home but with this one can not only get extra minutes but also you can be in a more helpful, encouraging, and motivating environment with other learners that will most likely be a lot more effective with getting your work done. This can be very helpful with procrastination and setting times to get your work done with us. Not everyone is able to have or join a study group and this is especially great for them. :)

We are open to more Co-hosts! Feel free to apply regardless of experience and you can earn hours! :)

📝Writing Contest!!

    Starts
This is going to be a super fun creative writing contest! Everyone will be able to vote on their favorite prompt that you will be writing with.

We have decided on three prompts to vote on:

Prompt #1: At midnight, a hidden library appears in an abandoned subway station. Its shelves hold books that reveal alternate lives and untold stories. Describe a character who stumbles upon this magical place and the life-changing decisions they face.

Prompt #2: A monster is terrified by the scary child who lives above his bed.

Prompt #3: The main protagonist is teleported into a different time. (past) Describe the different types of people and things they encounter.

This is mostly just for fun but the main judging criteria will be story, (does the story match the prompt and is it engaging) grammar and sentence structure, (not to sound like a SAT section, but the grammar needs to be accurate) and finally, originality (you can't use chatGTP for this, I hate that that is something I need to add, but you should add your own creative voice in your writing.
The time allowed to complete your writing will be three months, so you should have plenty of time to finish and refine your writing.
The winner of the contest will get a shoutout in the R&W Subworld and have their story posted in our shoutout! Second and third place winners will also get shoutouts!
The most important rule is to just have fun! This isn't a professional contest so don't stress out about making your writing "perfect". There are no perfect papers, remember that.
We will have all rules and criteria finalized by the kickoff to the contest.

Jeremy and Alina aren't just good tutors, they are exceptional. They both can give a good explanation without going off forever and making it confusing for the learners. They also are patient and take the time for their learners. Both of them are interactive as well and let learners have time to speak and to grow as people or students. On top of these qualities, they are friendly and kind while not getting upset if you get things wrong. Thank you.

This session taught me about the history of Italy, about its cultures, festivals, and food. At the end it also had some Italian words that we learned, and some of them I didnt know before, so it was also helping me learn a language.

Alina did a fantastic job at conveying her deep understanding of the topic. She thoroughly explained everything.
