The examples and explanations were super easy to follow and gave me an idea of what I will see on the SAT

Yes, there was clear evidence of progress during the session. For example, in the “We do” phase, learners who initially struggled with the morphological variability question were able to select the correct answer after your guidance, showing they had internalized the concept. Additionally, learners showed increasing confidence as the session progressed, with quicker and more accurate responses, particularly in the graph-related questions, where they applied your earlier explanations to make correct choices.

Thank you so much for the amazing series! It was really helpful! You are a wonderful tutor!

You asked your learner at the beginning to introduce herself, which turned out to be very helpful and gave you valuable insight into the learner! You made the learners feel comfortable by inviting her to stop you if you are going too fast or to ask questions. I also love how you made your learners feel included by having them contribute their answers and writing them in the slideshow!

During the “I do” phase, your explanations were clear, especially when you annotated passages to highlight key points, such as during the discussion about species counts. However, more frequent check-ins during this phase would help ensure that learners are following along. In the “We do” phase, you did well by asking learners to explain their reasoning, such as when Ojas was confused between B and C, but involving more learners in the discussion would further enhance engagement. In the “We do” phase, you gave learners the opportunity to apply what they had learned, and your follow-up explanations, such as the detailed breakdown of the REM sleep graph, effectively reinforced their understanding.

You created a safe and encouraging learning environment by consistently providing positive feedback and reassurance. When learners made mistakes, you used these moments as opportunities for growth rather than criticism. To further enhance this, you could offer more personalized praise for correct reasoning to build confidence, such as highlighting when a learner correctly identified the key parts of a passage.

Very well prepared slideshow! Detailed talking points and engaging graphics, which paired with your out-loud explanations are very informative. Loved the tips that were in the slideshow. You said this would be a beginner-friendly session, and you certainly delivered on that by giving an in-depth overview of what the SAT is. You provided so many tips and plenty of examples and practice questions, which seemed to really engage your learners!

Definitely. It seemed as though learners were able to retain much of the information and test-taking strategies, especially because you engaged with them a lot and encouraged them to make guesses even when they weren't sure. With the example questions, your learners were able to implement the test-taking tips you had mentioned earlier, which is a great sign of progress!
