Welcome to the amazing world of history! The Americas is about to get good!✨ In this year-round series, I will go through at least 2 sessions a week, (Sundays and Saturdays, subject to change). Lecture Sessions: These sessions range from 45 minutes to an hour. I will always have a slideshow presented with notes, documents, historical thinking questions, and practice questions. From George Washington to the Watergate Scandal, we will cover whatever is planned for the week! (P.S. There will also be fun interactive games such as Kahoot!) Study Sessions: These workshops will be held on Saturdays ranging from 30 minutes to an hour. This is where learners can come in and ask any questions about Sundays lecture, homework, want practice, or just a quiet space to study! Materials needed: -I would recommend you have a notebook to take notes in or if you'd like online notes, message me at any time and I will send the slideshow! -It would be very beneficial if you had a list of presidents or a large timeline! Each week, I will host two sessions in the same day, (Sundays, because I am a busy high school student 😂) and each session will be filled with academically intensive notes, practice questions, games, assignments, and study guides! STUDY sessions will be host for up to an hour! Study sessions will be on Saturdays! COURSE GUIDE: Lecture sessions - sessions where i will go over a slideshow and present notes, study guides over that topic, practice questions, and review games such as Kahoot, Blooket, Quizizz, and much more! Up to an hour! Study sessions - sessions where you can come in, have a safe study space, ask questions about homework or assignments, or just want overall practice. These sessions are OPTIONAL! MATERIALS NEEDED: -Definitely make sure you have paper handy in order to take notes or work out problems. -A calculator isn't always mandatory, but if we do need one for questions, you can use your phone or google! -Always come with your best attitude and determination! Let's finish the Pre-Algebra course in 1 month! I will host 3 sessions per week, each session going over 1 unit in the course. Don't worry. If it is too fast paced, I can always host an office hours session to go over extra problems or if you need extra help! -> We will go over 15 units covering Pre-Algebra -> Materials needed: Writing utensil and paper if you'd like to take notes and a calculator for big problems. -> No pre-knowledge is needed. For 5 weeks, we will go over 5 topics: introduction to variables, substitution/evaluating expressions, combining like terms, introduction to equivalent expressions, and division by zero! This is all following the Khan Academy plan for Algebra 1 Unit 2. There is no pre-knowledge necessary to join. Come with all questions, doubts, and concerns. Materials needed: -> writing utensil and paper for taking notes (if you would like) -> calculator for the big numbers!
