Have you ever dreamed of running for President of the United States? In this series, you will take on the role of a US Senator running for President. You will participate in debates, talk to voters, and win as many votes as possible. Of those who register for the series, only one will become commander-in-chief. Will it be you?

The simulation will be based on actual US election procedures, including state-based presidential primaries, party nominations, and an electoral college system. Don't worry if you're not sure what that means; we'll get everyone up to speed! This course serves as a great supplement to AP US History or AP US Government and Politics.

US Senate Simulation

Welcome to the United States Senate, the upper house of Congress! In this scaled-down version of what has been called the "greatest deliberative body in the world," learners will become senators and experience the American legislative process.

I hosted this course last summer and received positive feedback. It is meant to be both entertaining and educational and can be a helpful supplement to courses like AP US Government and Politics. Depending on turnout, features like committees may be added or removed.

Will you join a political party or stay independent? Will you compromise with other senators to get laws passed or stand your ground and stay true to what you believe in? Will you engage in fiery debate on the Senate floor or stay quiet and trade votes in the shadows? It's all up to you in the heart of our nation's capital.

US Senate Simulation

Welcome to the United States Senate, the upper house of Congress (the American legislature)! After a brief introduction to American government, learners will become senators for the summer. 

Will you join a political party or stay independent? Will you compromise with other senators to get laws passed or stand your ground and stay true to what you believe in? Will you engage in fiery debate on the Senate floor or stay quiet and trade votes in the shadows? Perhaps most frightening, what will you do in the face of serious international and domestic crises? It's all up to you in what has been dubbed the "greatest deliberative body in the world"!

Note: Each American state gets two senators for representation in the real US Senate. Depending on interest in this series, maximum registration numbers may be changed and the Senate may be scaled down/up. Additionally, there will be no House of Representatives (the lower house of Congress) in this simulation, simplifying the legislative process.

Math Bootcamp (Sun + Wed)

Hey everyone! My name's Ian and I'm a high schooler in New York State. I took the SAT last year and I got a perfect score, but there was a whole lot of work and practice involved. Hopefully, we can get through it together, do our best on the test, and maybe have some fun along the way as well!

This three-week tutoring series will help you prepare for the upcoming June SAT in Math. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam.

You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT in June. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.
