Hi, I'm Athena! I've been at Schoolhouse since April 2021, mainly teaching math and leading/volunteering on various SHW teams. 😄

I scored a perfect 800/800 on the SAT Math section (1550 overall), and a perfect 1520/1520 on the PSAT/NMSQT.

I try to make my sessions adapt to your needs, and I can easily adjust if we need to spend more time on one area and less in another. Looking forward to being your tutor!

Comprehensive Guide to Algebra 1

Hi, I'm Athena! By the end of this course, you will have a solid understanding of all topics in Algebra 1, and knowledge of some bonus content as well. This series is great if you'd like to learn Algebra 1 over the summer, or if you had trouble comprehending the material during the school year. A solid foundation in Pre-Algebra is required. We will be meeting once a week on Tuesdays, typically at 5 PM ET, along with optional Office Hours on weekends. There are a few times we will be meeting on Friday (@5 PM) as well. 𝒫𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑒 𝓃𝑜𝓉𝑒: If you joined this series late, 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲-𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.  Integration Bee? If so, now you can on Schoolhouse!

An Integration Bee is a math competition where competitors race to solve integrals fastest. It might not surprise you that this competition originated at MIT, but now many other universities host Integration Bees as a fun way for people to develop their Calculus skills and compete against other math-lovers.

You can register as a competitor or a spectator and if you change your mind later, please send me (or another Calculus mod) a message so we can update your status for the tournament bracket.
