Welcome! In this class, we will go over how to use musical conducting patterns and we will learn and observe from great conductors! If you have a baton, get it ready! This class requires prior knowledge in music theory, at least the basics, to understand most of what is going on. If you do not have any prior knowledge, please wait until I teach theory again or go to musictheory.net and try to learn there! You do not need any prior knowledge! Introduces the fundamentals of organized sound, emphasizing rules of Western music composition and offering opportunities to create original works. Students will develop the ability to describe, understand, and recognize aspects of tonal music, and skills in sight-singing, dictation/aural, written aspects, composition, and analytical areas. Students will be exposed to a variety of exercises designed to develop these skills including listening, performance, writing, creating, and analyzing music. While the main emphasis is placed on music of the Common Practice Period (1600-1750), music of other stylistic periods may also be studied. Explores use of technology for composition.

Practically, I am trying to see what would happen if we hosted a series that is pretty much like 9th grade and we keep it running until May, when the school year ends. By joining, you are gonna have a lot of fun! Each session is 30 minutes long and there are only 4 sessions a day! You are not required to attend all of them but it would be nice to because who knows what our amazing tutors, now teachers, have in store for you! There will be a variety of tutors bringing their expertise to the series. The goal is to learn a little bit and decide which language(s) are your favorite to study more in-depth. Welcome! In this series, you will learn about Rome's beginnings and its decline. We will be following Georgia Pre-AP World History Standards throughout this series. If you feel like you're back in school, that's my goal! I teach these topics like I am in a classroom. So, be prepared to go on VR field trips, engage in group activities, do fun projects, and learn about the Roman Empire! At the end of this series, there will be a 10-question quiz to see what you have learned and if we taught this lesson well. Your history teachers will never see it ;D
