Hello and welcome to The Journeys of a Tutor, brought to you by the wonderful Personal Goal Setting (PGS) tutors of Schoolhouse!

Would you like to learn more math? Open the door to more tutoring opportunities? If so, then I'd like to offer you a way to achieve all of that and more!

We, the tutors of the PGS program, are hosting this event to provide you, fellow learners and tutors, with all the tools and knowledge you will need to certify and tutor others in Algebra 1!
﻿
 If the prospect of an enhanced future interests you, please do join us as we journey together through the world of Algebra 1!

Class days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
Class Times (all are in EST):
 11am (series link), knowledge up to unit 4, quiz 2 is required.
 6pm (series link) no required knowledge,
 8pm (this series) no required knowledge.
Office hours (for any questions you have): Saturdays at 12pm and 6pm. Thursdays at 2pm

 Note: All series will last until all of Algebra 1 has been covered and fully understood. Sessions are updated every 2 weeks following this schedule.﻿

Khan Academy Quadratics Bootcamp

Mondays 12:30 AM, Saturdays 12:30 AM

These series will be centered around learning to multiply and factor quadratic expressions. We will follow the Khan Academy curriculum for the Algebra 1 Quadratics unit and aim to achieve mastery in each of the 9 skills.

By the end of this series, you will be able to factor equations such as 48−24x+3x248-24x+3x^248−24x+3x2﻿
 and expand expressions like (2+7x)(2−7x)(2+7x)(2-7x)(2+7x)(2−7x)﻿

Welcome to this series about an introduction to Spanish! This series will mainly consist of grammar and vocabulary. You must be able to practice vocab on your own time, but time will be given. This course is meant for beginners in Spanish or just someone who wants to brush up on their concepts!

I’ll be using the Pomodoro method of 25 minutes of studying and a 5-minute break.

- You may work on any subject and anyone is welcome!

- Cameras are not required, but it’s okay if you want to turn it on for staying on task.

You are welcome to unmute yourself and talk during the 5-minute breaks, but please remain quiet during the study period.

There will be playing Lofi music in the background during the sessions, so feel free to give me a Lofi song suggestion.

Hey everyone, welcome to this session!! Passion projects are important for one's college admission. These projects allow you to incorporate what you are passionate about. For example, women rights, global warming, and etc. They allow you to challenge yourself, which gives you growth as a person and more! Basically, a passion project can enhance a college application by showing an applicant's dedication, unique talents, personal growth, and alignment with their interests and values.
