Hello everyone! I often feel that a lot of the bios out here on schoolhouse have a distant tone to them, however I wanted my bio to seem open, hospitable, and congenial, so I have structured it in the form of questions that allow you to better know me as a person, student and hopefully as a tutor.

Who am I and what are my interests?

I'm Arnav, a junior high school student hailing from India. I'm also a true-blue extrovert who enjoys spending a lot of time with people and cracking jokes. I am the head of my school's hobbyist programmer and community outreach clubs. I am passionate about STEM, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. I enjoy taking long walks and going trekking. I spend my leisure time reading books (especially those focused on machine learning and AI), volunteering in my community, researching topics that fascinate me, keeping up to date with advancements in the field of computer science, and exploring different programming languages. And now, I'm thrilled to bring my expertise to Schoolhouse as a tutor. I can't wait to connect with all of you in my sessions and aid you in your pursuit of knowledge in these subjects. Let's work together to achieve your goals and take your skills to the next level!

Why am I at Schoolhouse?

This is a question that I am asked quite frequently, from my students to my grandparents, why am I tutoring at schoolhouse and not devoting more time to the other things that I'm passionate about? I am a here at Schoolhouse because as a high school student I often find that a many students face difficulties in understanding and comprehending the various aspects and complexities of the topics that are taught to them in school, and I believe that Schoolhouse provides me an appropriate platform to properly utilize my interpersonal skills as well as my firm grasp over these subjects to assist and aid my fellow students to truly understand the subject matter and excel in their pursuit of knowledge.

How will my sessions work?

In my sessions I will cover a particular subject and identify the main topics in that subject, then I will divide each topic into several sections depending on the length and difficulty of each topic. Before every session I shall do a recap and if the topics required more than 2 sessions then I will do a recap session as well. I want sessions to feel open and interactive so I will regularly pause to take questions and set time aside for discussion at the middle and end of the session, and I encourage you all to communicate with both me as well as each other. Please don't be afraid to ask questions no matter how foolish it may seem, for as my math teacher says, “No question is foolish”. A major reason student doesn’t understand is because that simply don't ask questions.
