SAT Reading Summer Prep

Hi!
When: Every Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday with some extra office hours, meetups, and more!
(The dates are a little wacky to start but after, it settles into Wednesday/Friday)
What: We will cover a different area of SAT reading every session; from determining where everyone is in their prep, to understanding overarching weaknesses, and being able to approach any passage. The schedule will look something like this:
Week 1: Pre-Test & Introductions (longest session)
Week 2: Understanding What to Work On
Week 3 & on: specific passages and strategies
...and so on! Each session builds off the other so it would be ideal for a person to attend all the sessions in this series.
Note: the first session is Friday so plan accordingly
***sessions after the first three are still fairly tentative***

Hi! For this session, we'll start by working through a short paragraph, answering a few questions, and breaking down the paragraph just to gauge where people are at. Then, we'll be working through an official practice SAT passage from test #5. Through the session, we'll do problems together and separately, and figure out a strategy to comprehend passages better. I'll leave 10 minutes for questions, so if you have any, come prepared.  Anyone is welcome regardless of where you are in your SAT prep!

This session will be pretty freeform, but before the actual session, I would like everyone to complete this history passage by Sunday, 6/20/21.

We will be looking at a reading passage together from Khan Academy, and learn about a strategy we can use to break it down. Then, to wrap up, we will be doing a passage from the Official SAT Practice Test #3. Throughout the session, we'll work through some questions together and some individually.
