Vim is a free and open-source, screen-based text editor program. It is an improved clone of Bill Joy's vi. Vim's author, Bram Moolenaar, derived Vim from another editor called Vi
Vim is not an ordinary text editor, doesn't matter if you are a programmer or just another computer user. Vim will change your life. You will start to see computers in a much more text based way and the command line is an amazing place!
