About

Are you just starting to consider what colleges you like? Or are you moving into your first-year dorm next week? Either way, join me for a casual chat on how to college! For the first part of the session, I'll talk about my path to Harvard, my path NOT to music school, and how I adjusted to college coming from a small town. We'll chat about SATs, choosing colleges, application essays, picking a course of study, dorm life, professional life, and typical campus resources. Afterwards, I'll answer your questions and concerns!

Tutor Qualifications

After applying to over twenty colleges, universities, and even music conservatories, I started my first year at Harvard about one year ago. I faced everything: from figuring out what kind of schools to apply to, to last minute midnight essay rewrites, to being rejected or waitlisted by schools I was sure I'd get into, to figuring out a social and academic life with my rural public school background. On top of that, I've been a tutor and peer mentor for various organizations for over a year now, so I have lots of experience guiding students through overwhelming topics!
