Join me in this two-week linear and quadratic crash course! Each session, we'll go through topics relating to linear and quadratic functions (like FOIL/factoring, graphing, etc). There'll be plenty of practice and example problems!

Linear equations & graphs
Since this is our first session, it'll be 15 minutes longer than usual. We'll start with introductions and then dive into two-variable linear equations. We'll go over slope, horizontal/vertical lines, x/y intercepts, and graphing!

Forms of linear equations
Session two will cover different ways of expressing a linear equation: slope-intercept form, point-slope form, and standard form! We'll learn how to convert between forms and graph each.

Systems of equations
This session is day 1 of 3 for systems of equations. We'll learn about what these systems are, the possible solutions they can have, and what makes two systems equivalent!

This session is day 2 of 3 for systems of equations. We'll go over methods for solving these systems: substitution and elimination!

Today, we'll transition from linear to quadratic equations! This is day 1 of 4 for Quadratics: multiplying and factoring. We'll start by defining polynomials. Then, we'll study the three special product rules.

This is day 2 of 4 for Quadratics: multiplying and factoring! We'll cover the FOIL method for multiplying binomials. If there's time, I'll give a brief introduction to tomorrow's topic, factoring.

This is day 3 of 4 for Quadratics: multiplying and factoring! Today, we'll learn how to factor quadratics using grouping. We'll also go back to the three special product rules and use them in reverse!

This is the final day for Quadratics: multiplying and factoring. We'll cover strategies for factoring quadratics and do plenty of example/practice problems!

Quadratic functions & equations
Our final session is an introduction to quadratic functions and equations! We'll learn about parabolas and how to find their roots (factoring, taking the square root, the quadratic formula, and completing the square).
