About

Hey everyone! My name is Anika and I’m a high school senior from NY, USA. I’ve taken the SAT four times, and in that time (with help from my teachers) I improved my score by 190 points. Since then I’ve been accepted into the Arts and Humanities department of a top Ivy League college, so I can certainly appreciate the value of good reading and writing skills along with some extra help on the SAT. Just so you know, I am a *huge* nerd about grammar and literature and I’m super excited to work on it with you all! This three-week tutoring series will help you prepare for the upcoming June SAT in both Reading and Writing & Language. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT in June. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

About the Tutor

Hi, I’m Anika and I’m a college sophomore living in Massachusetts! I study Human Evolutionary Biology with plans to become a geneticist and (maybe!) a surgeon. I made it through all the challenging introductory subjects in biology, statistics, and writing, and now I'm ready to help high school students do the same! I also survived the ordeal of improving my SAT score and getting into my top choice colleges, so I'm happy to help with that too. Additionally, I minor in music and I'm a huge book nerd, so if you want to chat about anything from Franz Liszt to Fleetwood Mac or The Odyssey to Percy Jackson then I'm the tutor for you! I ran an SAT bootcamp last summer and had a great time helping everyone figure out how to improve. I'm excited to get back into tutoring this summer!
