About

In this 2 week long series, we will survey some of the material from the Calculus BC course. This series is best suited for those who have taken Calculus AB or Calculus 1 and will be taking Calculus 2.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please try to attend every session, but I will not withdraw you if you miss a session. Notes from session will be shared, but this is not a substitute for attending.

I genuinely believe that anyone can learn learn challenging topics like calculus and look forward to helping you on your math journey! When I attend university, I want to major in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and love to mess around with engineering projects in my free time.

Orientation

We will overview how the series will run, answer any general questions, and in the time remaining try some Calc AB refresher questions to make sure you are ready to try Calculus BC material.

We will cover the method of Integration by Parts and try a variety of practice problems to see when this method is best used.

We will learn about improper integrals to find areas under curves over infinite intervals or from boundaries which are points of discontinuity.

You know how to find the area under the curve or the slope of the tangent line, but what about the length of the curve? In this session, we will cover how to find the arc length of a curve.

In this final Meetup, we will introduce infinite series, see some of their basic qualities, and learn the basics of how to determine whether or not they converge.
