About

What we will be covering: Music theory, Music Production and Audio mixing Music theory: Understanding the tonal system, harmony, melody, rhythm and how to use these concepts in a song Music production and audio mixing: DAW basics (using Ableton Live 11) Composing Music Production Audio mixing Learners will be encouraged and assigned tasks to make their own music as they learn different techniques and concepts. Requirements (will be explained in the introductory session): A DAW (digital audio workstation)- preferably Ableton Live 11 (90-day trial)

Tutor Qualifications

I am a multi-instrumentalist (piano, guitar, drums and other percussive instruments) with a thorough understanding of basic music theory concepts, music production and audio mixing.

My music accomplishments include:

Graduated Music Production and technology (MPT) from Global Music Institute

Online courses about music theory, contemporary music, sound design & audio mixing from Stanford University, Berklee School of Music

Grade 6 Piano Rockschool, Grade 2 Guitar Rockschool, Grade 2 Drums Trinity

Graduated Cambridge Board’s A level in music
