Welcome to SHW Writing Competition!! In this series, you'll be writing a short story, (From 500 to 900 words) that you'll submit using this Google form. https://forms.gle/HZpCSjAaUVVCSy7H9 Non-Fiction is not allowed but other than that, have fun! We'll announce the winner in the Awards Ceremony session. More information will be provided in the orientation session. *When the series has 18 individuals, it is considered full. Any additional space is reserved for the competition judges.*

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

It is important to attend all sessions as they will contain valuable information. You'll be withdrawing from the series if you miss more than one session.

Hello, everyone! It's great to have you all here for the SHW Writing competition. We'll be introducing our judges and competitors shortly, and giving you all the necessary information about this series. You'll need to be present during this session to participate in the competition.

In this session, we'll explore helpful tips to enhance the appeal of your story and make it more captivating. This learning experience will cover essential elements like characterization, conflict, and theme, among others. We'll cover how to correctly follow the diagram for Turning Point. You'll also learn how to incorporate figurative language into your writing and create a hook that draws the reader into your story. Remember that the deadline for story submission is currently set for July 12th. This will be a beneficial session for those who don't have much experience in writing fictional stories but regardless, this is still not a must-attend session. Those who place in the competition will receive certification, with first place earning Gold, second place receiving Silver, and third place awarded Bronze. Additionally, all competitors who attended the sessions will be given a Perfect Attendance certificate. This session will be brief, but we encourage all those who submitted a story to join us. Thank you for participating!!
