About

Alternate time to the 11:30 am EST "French for Beginners" series. Bonjour! Did you know that French is spoken in over 25 countries, with more than 250 million speakers? If you’re planning on taking a French course next school year, or if you just want to dip your toe in “l’eau Française,” this series is for you! In these sessions, we’ll be learning vocabulary, verb tenses, and useful phrases to get you on the path to being a French speaker. Sessions will be held weekly at 3:30 pm EST (7:30 pm UTC). If you have any questions, feel free to post them on the public discussion board; I will answer them as quickly as possible! I hope to see you in my sessions!

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

While I do recommend you should try to come to all sessions in this series, I will not withdraw you if you do not show up to all of them. Each consecutive session will be slightly higher level than the previous one, so, if you already know the basics of French, you can feel free to only come to the later sessions.

About the Tutor

Hello! I’m Sam, a high school Senior from Florida. I love to garden (and try not to kill my plants), play piano, read, watch movies, and go outside. Here at Schoolhouse.world, I tutor mainly in various math topics up to Pre-calculus, as well as French, SAT math and reading prep, and various AP subjects. I love helping people expand their knowledge on many topics, and especially enjoy when a student “gets” a problem or topic. I tend to teach by: explaining a part of a topic, walking students through practice, and giving guidance with independent and in-context practice. I look forward to seeing you in my sessions!
