About

This is a club for any teen/college age writer interested in being a young adult or middle grade author. We'll read a wide range of YA, MG, and writing books (and discuss them) to become better writers through osmosis; complete fun exercises to get our creative juices flowing; work on monthly projects to build a portfolio of different types of YA/MG pieces and learn more about submitting work for publication; and so much more! Overall, this is just a fun group to inspire anyone interested in writing for kids and teens to write more and get better at it. Cams and mics should be on so everyone can talk and work together.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

For the best possible experience, please try not to miss club meetings, since it will take time away from working on projects and you'll miss the weekly book club discussion. However, since this is an ongoing group, I understand if you have to miss a meeting here or there. It's totally okay, just message ahead of time.

About the Tutor

Hey Everyone! I'm Sara, a senior in high school from Nevada. On Schoolhouse, I tutor SAT Reading & Writing Bootcamps and host a creative writing club for aspiring young adult and middle grade authors. In my free time, I like to read, jam along to Taylor Swift songs, and binge-watch shows on Netflix.
