AP Economics [Speed-run] Summer Prep- AP Macro

About

Overview: Each week, we will cover a unit or two outlined in the AP College Board curriculum. Because of the fast-paced nature of this series, I will only be going over the most crucial points of each unit. This is why each class will be 1hr20min long! The class will be a mix of lectures, games, and hands-on practice.

Target audience: Students taking AP Macro or AP Econ next year (but anyone interested in learning about economics in general is welcome to attend, I will edit the max learner limit accordingly)
*Note: Some schools offer an individual AP Macro class while others have an AP Econ class that will cover both AP Macro and AP Micro. If the second scenario applies to you, I have an AP Micro series that will begin right after this series ends. Feel free to sign up!

Schedule: Sessions will be on Fridays other than the second session. Happy 4th of July! We will start on Saturday 7/5 for Session 2 ONLY.

Homework: 30min-60min of homework is expected for each week. Again, because this is a fast-moving course, lectures and activities will cover most of the class time. The majority of homework will be self-practice on Khan Academy or ReviewEcon with MCQs and graphs.

*Note: Granted, you will be learning a lot about economics through this series, but this is NOT an in-depth course and should NOT be taken in place of an actual AP Macro or AP Econ class. This class is only meant to serve as a precursor to better prepare you for your upcoming economics class.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

No strict attendance policy. I will not be kicking anyone out of the series, but if you plan on being absent, send me a message so I can send you the slides of the day.

If you are taking this series to prepare for next year's AP Macro or AP Econ class, you should make every class possible.

If you are just here to learn about economics, feel free to attend whichever session (covering the topic) that interests you.
