This series is for Shanmukha P, at his request! However, if any learner feels that they would like to go over the same concept as mentioned in the session description, then you are most welcome to join!
Each week, we will review a pre-calculus or an introductory calculus topic (such as limits, or differentiation) in order to prep up for AP Calculus BC. Sessions will be interactive (lots of practice!), with an emphasis on intuition and problem solving skills.

Tue 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTCJun 10, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTC
In our first session, we will review key Pre-Calculus topics that are essential to Calculus. This includes properties (as well as key relationships and formulae) and graphs of the polynomials, trigonometric functions, exponential functions and logarithms (Including change of base formula and the natural logarithm). Time permitting, we will explore the intuitive definition of a limit and a derivative.

Differentiation: definition and basic derivative rules
Differentiation: definition and basic derivative rules
Tue 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTCJun 17, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTC
Building on from the previous session, we will define the derivative in terms of the limit of a function, which will serve to justify the need for computing limits of various functions. To that end, we will look at the 4 basic rules for evaluating limits, and tackle simpler examples, involving rational functions and modulus.

Tue 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTCJun 24, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTC
We will continue with evaluating limits, introducing the squeeze theorem, as well as working with trigonometric, exponentials and logarithmic functions.

Tue 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTCJul 1, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTC
We now transition into derivatives: understanding the intuition behind the various rules, including the power rule, product rule and chain rule.

Tue 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTCJul 8, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTC
Building on our intuition from last time, we'll now move onto evaluating derivatives by putting all these rules together. Time permitting, we'll take about applications of derivatives, including finding the minima and maxima of functions (the second derivative test).
