In this series, we will go over what you need to do in order to do the best that you can in math. This will be a mix of Q & A time as well as practicing what an actual SAT math section will be like!

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

You are free to attend or skip whichever sessions you want to. Since this is more to support students and answer any questions, it will be more casual.

About the Tutor

Hello! My name is Lauren, and I am a senior. I love to travel, read, crochet, and hang out with my friends. As someone who has always been extremely stubborn and a bit of a perfectionist, my goal has always been to achieve my greatest potential no matter how much time and effort it takes, and it is my hope that I can help you accomplish this too! Everything is just a puzzle waiting to be solved, and through Schoolhouse, I'd like to guide students through their SAT journey so that they can overcome any obstacle they might come across.

Session 1

Orientation

For this first lesson, I will introduce the SAT math section to everyone. We will then spend around 15 minutes for students to test themselves on questions from actual past SAT tests. The remaining 25 minutes will be for me to explain different problems and techniques you can use to solve them.

SAT Math

For session two, please come with the Math- With Calculator section from the Collegeboard SAT first practice test done. We will be going over that section and any additional questions you have. Please finish the Collegeboard's SAT practice test 3: Math-With Calculator section. We will go over the concepts and questions. If we have time, we will play a kahoot with some math problems pulled from the No Calculator section of the test. Other Topics

For this last real session, students should come with both non-Calculator and with Calculator sections of the Collegeboard's SAT practice test 6 done. During this time, students can smooth over any problems they may have and any last questions. I will also provide students with some additional information to know for test day.
