About

Over the course of this week, we will cover the different types of articles, proper journalistic grammar/formatting, how to conduct interviews, and more! Each session is an hour long, with 10 minutes of Q&A at the end. You should come prepared with a notebook and pencil OR a blank Google Doc to do some writing! No previous experience is required.

Tutor Qualifications

I am a published author and award-winning high school journalist with 7+ years of experience with writing. I've written over 20 articles combined for my high school newspaper and as an intern for an academic nonprofit. One of my articles won a Best of SNO award, the premier recognition for high school journalists. In terms of leadership roles, I was named design editor in my first year on staff, and I will be the webmaster and features editor for this upcoming school year.

I'm excited to introduce learners to the wonderful world of journalism over the course of this bootcamp!
