About

Throughout our sessions, we will become cytologists, geneticists, and clinical researchers as we study the building blocks of all life: cells! Our series is divided into three units: Cell Structure & Function, Cellular Energetics, and Cell Communication. Our content is derived from Units 2, 3, and 4 of AP Biology. I hope this series provides us with a broader knowledge of cell operations and a new appreciation for cell biology!

Tutor Qualifications

Throughout high school, I have taken courses in General Biology, Genetics & Nutrition, and Health & Risk Assessment. I have completed the 4 courses of the PLTW Biomedical Science program. I am currently an AP Biology student.

Our content builds on previous sessions, so do your best to make each one. If you miss a session, feel free to request some of the lesson materials from me.

Today’s topic is Cell Organelles, Membranes, and Transport! We’ll discuss the makeup of prokaryotic vs. eukaryotic cells and the mechanisms of passive and active transport across cell membranes. We’ll close the session with questions and practice problems.
