About the Tutors

Hey everyone! I’m passionate about exploring a wide range of interests. Music is a big part of my life—I play the violin, cello, flute, piano, and guitar. Each instrument challenges me in different ways and brings me joy through its unique sounds. When I’m not immersed in music, I enjoy giving back to the community through volunteering at animal shelters and participating in environmental cleanups. It feels rewarding to make a positive impact and help those in need. Strategy board games like Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride are my go-to for fun and mental challenges. I also love diving into graphic novels, manga, and books about space and science. They ignite my imagination and take me on incredible adventures. Drawing comics and creating digital art are ways I express my creativity. I’m constantly inspired by everything around me, including the beautiful sunsets I capture through photography. Experimenting with photo editing adds another layer of artistic expression to my work. Writing is another passion of mine—I delve into fan fiction, craft short stories, and keep a daily journal to reflect on my thoughts and experiences. Crafting DIY projects such as slime, jewelry, and duct tape creations allows me to explore my hands-on creativity and make something unique. Solving brain teasers, logic puzzles, and building intricate LEGO sets are my favorite pastimes when I want to challenge my mind. Chess tournaments are also something I enjoy participating in to improve my strategy and skills. Gardening vegetables and herbs is a relaxing hobby that connects me with nature, and bird watching teaches me about different species and their habitats. Collecting trading cards, stickers, and unique rocks and minerals is a hobby that allows me to appreciate the beauty and history behind each item. Traveling to new cities, national parks, and historical landmarks broadens my horizons and deepens my understanding of different cultures. Learning new languages through apps, books, and language clubs is a rewarding journey that helps me connect with people from diverse backgrounds.

Hi! My name is Ananya, also spelled Aananya, and I'm a sophomore in high school in the 24-25 school year. I have a lot of hobbies including track and field, reading, environmental activism, debate, coding, STEM competitions, and my mysterious favorite (robotics). I love classic books (they're practically all I read). My favorite is An Old Fashioned Girl. I'm involved in a lot of organizations. One of the ones I'm most active in is a leadership 4-h program for teens. We work on a lot of capstone projects to help our community. I've gotten a world record related to them. We partnered with one of our sponsor companies to have the world's longest envirothon. That leads us into my next hobby, debate. I've been debating for 2 years as of 2024 summer, and I love it. And then there's robotics. I spend a lot of time on that. I'm very involved in my team. I love volunteering.

I am a 13-year-old going into 8 grade. Some of my interests are sports (mostly soccer and basketball), gaming, and math. I am looking to help others with math such as pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2. I like teaching in a fun yet educating way. Please DM me if you need any math help or you just want to chat.
