About
I plan to go over everything Polynomials as they are the base for all of Algebra 2, Exponential and Logarithm models, and the basics of Trigonometry!
Whether you're taking Algebra 2 over the summer, getting a head start for the fall, or are just interested in advancing in math, this session is open to all!
All you need to participate is a pencil, a sheet of paper, and a curious mind!
✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY
You are free to attend/skip whichever sessions you want.
But, this session will go over topics from the basics to more advanced topics requiring some knowledge of the basics, so attending all the sessions will be helpful!

Session 1
Polynomial arithmetic
We'll explore the connection between polynomials and the integers, through adding, subtracting, and multiplying polynomials. This session will prepare you for factoring and dividing polynomials coming in the later sessions!

Cn
Session 2
Complex numbers
We'll explore arithmetic operations with complex numbers, graphing on coordinate planes, and applying them to quadratic equations!
11
Jul

Session 3
Polynomial factorization
We'll be going over a crucial topic of factoring polynomials which is applied to every math class going forward. Key terms and factoring methods will be covered!
13

Session 4
Polynomial division
This session will be shorter as compared to previous sessions: dividing polynomials might be confusing to understand at first but have simple tricks to keep in mind while learning! Remainders will still apply here like normal division!

Session 5
Polynomial graphs
We'll analyze polynomial equations in order to graph them on a coordinate plane! Key terms, like end behaviour and zeros, that will be crucial in later math classes will be addressed here!

Session 6
Rational exponents and radicals
We'll go over the basics of equivalent expressions and equations by exponents and practice re-writing expressions that will be easier to solve!

Session 7
Exponential models
We'll learn how to construct, interpret, and apply exponential functions to model a variety of real-world contexts, from modelling population growth and radioactive decay to interpreting interest rates.
