About

Welcome to the AP Computer Science A Kickstarter! In this series, we are going to go over the first 4 units of the AP Computer Science A curriculum(in an expedited way)! In each session, we’ll have a lesson, practice questions related to that lesson similar to questions on the exam, and light coding projects to leave you guys with to do! No coding experience is required, but experience in at least Algebra 1 is heavily suggested. Planned schedule: Lessons: Sundays @ 10 AM EST Mondays @ 4 PM EST Fridays @ 4 PM EST Office Hours: Most Saturdays @ 11 AM EST (Times are movable with enough demand) AP Com Sci A is in Java, so if you could have a Java IDE ready, that would be great. For the purposes of this class, I recommend DrJava. (Disclaimer: This course is fact-paced, and will not have you 100% ready to take the exam. This course is made to get you deeply familiar with the topics, so when you learn them during class/self-study, you’ll be much, much better prepared)

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please do not miss two sessions in a row without communication. Doing so will result in withdrawal. If absent, let me know so I can provide you with the learning content! Sessions build on top of each other, so it is crucial to stay on top of your work.
