About

Take a break from studying and dive into Hand-Lettering and Modern Calligraphy! All you need is paper and a pencil, pen, or marker. In the first session, we will go through the basics of hand lettering, and then in the next few sessions, we will go through calligraphy and ways one can use these skills to embellish projects and other things.

Tutor Qualifications

I have learned Calligraphy and Hand-Lettering in school, and I have used my skill to make cards and logos. In addition, I have experience in using digital software, such as ProCreate.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

There will be four sessions in all, attendance to at least three out of the four sessions is recommended.

Orientation

In this class, we will go through ways one could use Hand-Lettering and Modern Calligraphy. I will present examples of how I have used calligraphy, in the past, for example, I have used calligraphy to illustrate the cover of my award-winning children's book, True Colors, and how I have modified the art to fit my style and projects.

Enrichment

In the second class, we will go through the Calligraphy alphabet, and I will explain how to start writing in Calligraphy, with just a pencil or pen.

In this class, we will start by picking an idea and working on a project to present next class. As a group, we will discuss our ideas and have allotted time to work.
