About

Hey, I'm Max! I'm a senior in an International Baccalaureate school in Texas. I like film, D&D, working out, and other fun things. I cannot wait to have you in my sessions for this SAT, as I have taken it twice. Catch ya at the series :)

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Math. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please do not miss more than one session over the four weeks, as that will negatively affect your learning and may also take up a spot from another learner who could have attended every session.

If you reach two unexcused absences, your tutor may remove you from this series.

Note from Schoolhouse: This series has sessions with required attendance. If you need to miss a required session, submit an absence using the "Submit Excused Absence" button on the series page. Multiple unexcused absences may lead to a suspension of your Schoolhouse account.

About the Tutor

I'm a high school senior currently in the Diploma Program at an IB school in Texas. I'm currently enrolled in Mathematics AA HL, Biology HL, and Physics SL. If you aren't familiar with IB, HL rigor is higher than AP, and SL is comparable to AP level. I love movies and am always open to chatting about people's favorite films, directors, and actors! I also love history, especially WWII. I love math and science, and I will help you in any way I can to make sure you feel comfortable with the SAT material.

You'll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will review questions you'd like to go over and end with group practice of two Focus Skills in the Geometry & Trigonometry Domain.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

We'll spend time reviewing all of the previous Focus Skills we covered together. To end the session (and the bootcamp!), we'll wrap up everything and provide some final words of advice/encouragement.
