About

We’ll delve into the various parts of the 2024 AP English Language & Composition test and learn how to succeed in every facet of the course!

Tutor Qualifications

I took AP English Language & Composition last year and scored a 5 on the exam. I did extensive study work based on the College Board’s curriculum, Timm Freita’s videos, and my instructors’ teaching. From this I was able to develop a large study guide that helped me succeed on the test.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please do not miss more than one session in a row, as we will work through the curriculum in order. Learners are still welcome to attend sessions at whim, but for their success and cohesiveness of the course it is recommended that they attend all sessions.

Review

We’ll begin by going over an overview of the AP test and expressing our goals on the test. Then, we will start a review of the multiple choice section.

Review

We will continue a review of the multiple choice section and practice various examples, based on past AP tests and valuable strategies. Some of these exercises will be timed, others will be just to develop skills.

We will go over the essay questions as a whole, and discuss different successful strategies for them.

We will delve into the first essay question of the test: synthesis.

We will delve into the second essay question of the test: rhetorical analysis.
