Physics Series

2

Schoolhouse Physics Bowl

Starts

We'll have a fun Kahoot planned with physics topics from various areas at the AP Physics 1 level/some challenges. All you need is a pencil and a piece of paper!

Cool Topics in Mechanics

3rd session

We'll go over more advanced (but very fun) aspects in mechanics that might not be traditionally taught in your last physics class you took. If you're interested in rocket motion, systems of springs, gyroscopes, and differences in time with spaceships traveling near the speed of light, then you might enjoy what we talk about!

To get the most out of the sessions, you should have a firm understand of calculus of at least the AP Calculus BC level, and a physics background of at least AP Physics 1.

Textbooks we'll use:
  • Morin, D. (2023). Introduction to classical mechanics: With problems and solutions. Cambridge University Press.
  • Kleppner, D., & Kolenkow, R. J. (2014). An introduction to mechanics. Cambridge University Press.
